Painting Eastern Cape Green With Glamour Tweet
Miss Earth South Africa in association with Consol is proud to officially announce its 2012 roll out campaign and plans for their tenth year anniversary. This leadership programme and initiative for young South African women is at the forefront of creating a much needed awareness, empowering and educating young women and children alike. As they celebrate ten years of greening communities across the country they have identified the Eastern Cape as a vital province for further exploration, activation and green discovery.
We are very excited to extend our green mark in the beautiful province of the Eastern Cape as part of our legacy journey in 2012, said National Director Catherine Constantinides. Furthermore she said The Eastern Cape has been a region that we have not had the opportunity to actively engage with and we believe that our programme will benefit and excite young people of this province and we will leave a positive sustainable green footprint.
This September sees the call for young women from across the Eastern Cape to enter and take part in an opportunity of a lifetime. This platform will allow young women of society to embrace the challenges we are faced with environmentally as South Africans and as citizens of Earth. Successful regional entrants will make their way to the final national rounds during 2012 which will see them doing extensive green community projects, glass awareness, glass recycling and sustainable living activities.
This programme is proudly endorsed by several green agencys such as SANParks, National Energy Efficiency Agency, CEF, WWF, SANCCOB, Cape Nature, SESSA and supported by City of Cape Town to name a few. The extensive range of work, initiatives and educational programmes talk for themselves. The organisation has had several partners for many years who they work closely with such as Consol, Imperial Toyota, TOTAL South Africa, Newsclip Media Monitoring and Desco.
What better role model than a beautiful and intelligent, young South African woman, who has a green message that you want to take up and make your own. Proud partners of this initiative are Consol, IMPERIAL Toyota, Total and Newsclip Media Monitoring. Winners stand in line to win prizes from Jane Iredale the skin care make up, Bijan Boutique Hairdressing, JoJo Tanks, Elchim, Colette Designer Garments, and a fully paid international trip to the Miss Earth 2012.
Eastern Cape regionals close on the 19th September and the Regional event will take place at the Annual JBay Dive Fest and Shell Festival in Jefferys Bay on the 1st October. For further details call 082 505 0664.
